Hominy Baptist Church
Facilities Endowment Fund
The Gift of a Lifetime!
The Facilities Endowment Fund was established in 2021 to provide opportunities for members and friends of Hominy Baptist Church to participate in long term funding for church facilities maintenance, improvements, and renovations.
We aspire to this goal through:
Thoughtful and prayerful discernment regarding the use of the resources that have been entrusted into our care by God and those who have gone before us.
Restricting the use of this Fund to projects that will:
· Maintain Hominy Baptist Church’s buildings and grounds
· Limit initial use of funds to just the annual growth in the fund
· Respond to a catastrophic event that significantly damages the physical plant
· Fulfill designation by donors to the fund within stated purpose of Facilities Endowment Fund
The funds are administered by our Facilities Endowment Committee, elected by the church congregation, consisting of six members, a Pastor, and the Chair of the Stewardship and Finance Committee.
The Facilities Endowment Fund can receive many forms of gifts involving almost any kind of asset. Some common ways to give:
Cash. Gifts can be made at one time or on a periodic basis.
Stocks, Bonds, and Other Securities. Gifts of appreciated stocks and bonds (including U.S. Savings Bonds) often provide significant tax advantages for the donor.
Bequests Under Wills. You may make a gift to the Fund through your will. This permits you to specify the nature and extent of a gift that will be made upon your death. Without a will, the state will determine how your assets are distributed.
Charitable Trusts. Through a trust you may give to the fund during your lifetime or upon your death.
Life Insurance Policies. Donors may purchase a new policy or donate an existing policy with the Fund as the owner or beneficiary.
Retirement Plans, IRAs, 401(k)s. All of these can designate the Fund as primary, or partial beneficiary and are excellent means of support.
