Martha’s Kids is an organization that was begun over 40 years ago by Martha Wolfe. She worked at Candler Elementary School, starting as a school bus driver, then became an art and reading teacher, often seeing children who needed items such as food, clothing, school supplies, and toys. Because of Martha’s generosity, the children received the items they needed and lots of love as well.
Soon, Martha was spending her entire paycheck on these sweet children, and needed assistance to meet the needs of even more kids as the needs and geographic area expanded. Martha passed away last year at the age of 88, but her legacy continues as we assist hundreds of children each year.
